  1. Thanks. Hard for moderns to realise how massive a star someone like Mary Pickford was and how great many of the silent era films were! Regards Thom.

    • Hi Thom! I like to post silents from time to time (although I can’t remember when the last one was) just because it’s so easy to forget that many of these people were creating cinema as we know it today by innovating as they went along.

      Recently we’ve been watching a number of early silent and talkie Hitchcock movies which are great. They aren’t public domain as far as I know but I’m happy to post them here if anyone’s interested! You can find them on YouTube in any case.
