Sweeeeet musicIf you ever wondered what on earth Donovan was on about in his “Hurdy-Gurdy Man” (and many people did, man), then this short tutorial should explain quite a lot.

For those who are interested, you can also find a virtual version, made a company that specialises in hard-to-find instruments.

Caroline Phillips cranks out tunes on a seldom-heard folk instrument: the hurdy-gurdy, a.k.a. the wheel fiddle. A searching, Basque melody follows her fun lesson on its unique anatomy and 1,000-year history.
